Our company is looking for a Gardener to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Repair, maintain and adjust irrigation equipment;
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor;
- Perform all aspects of turf care including pesticide application, fertilizing, aerating and mowing;
- Perform snow removal using plows, power brushes, blowers, shovels, and sanding equipment;
- Plant and maintain annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, and turf;
- Prepare and maintain beds including planting, watering, mulching, and plant replacement.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of plants and their care, power equipment, and irrigation systems;
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Horticulture; Forestry; etc);
- Physical strength and stamina to include kneeling, squatting, bending, lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time;
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that is insurable by our carrier;
- Ability to work outdoors, in all types of weather conditions and temperatures;
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in landscaping or a similar field;
- Valid driver’s license required;
- A pesticide applicator’s license will be required 30 days after date of hire.
