Picker/Packer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Picker/Packer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Load Box and flatbed trucks;
- Package parts for safe transit and arrival to customers following Webco procedures;
- Place parts into stock and provide accurate information on counts and locations to shipping clerks;
- Pull parts for shipments as directed by daily pick list and supervisor requests;
- Moving materials and inventory in the warehouse;
- Operating injection molding machines;
- Pulling and packing supplies for the deliveries;
- Verify member data and orders in the computer system;
- Pulling inventory;
- Maintain inventory logs and records;
- Maintains orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas;
- Administers on time and accurate breakdown of pre-packs requested by Purchasing, as required;
- Picking ad packing productions;
- Collating orders;
- Pulls parts from the appropriate locations and packs to staging area for QA.
Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills;
- Proficient in use of scan gun is a plus;
- Able to lift up to 50lbs;
- Pre-screening is required;
- Use of bar scanner;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time;
- Closed toed/close heeled shoes;
- Quality checks performed on glasses-making sure they are not defective;
- Dress-jeans, T-shirt;
- Detail oriented;
- No PPE required/gloves provided if requested;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts;
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Ability to think critically and make decisions.
