Banquet Bartender Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Banquet Bartender to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment that is in compliance with the District health codes at all times;
- Prepares all products according to established venue recipes, focusing on proper portion size control;
- Communicates and works with all support staff to ensure inventory is maintained at established par levels;
- Perform all other duties as requested;
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Constantly provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property as well as entertainment offered in each;
- Work with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs and assist other team members when the opportunity arises;
- Must pass the Bartenders Qualification Assessment Test;
- Comply with all state and federal liquor laws;
- Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible alcohol service certification;
- Familiarity and product knowledge of beverages, wines, and garnishes;
- Exhibits and executes a complete knowledge of the venue’s sequence of service and selling technique;
- Communicates and works with all support staff to ensure bar is properly stocked and prepared for operations;
- Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks;
- Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
Requirements:
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time;
- Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight;
- Vision with or without the help of eye wear;
- Self-motivated team player;
- Refined verbal communication skills;
- Have a working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes;
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment;
- Outgoing personality, positive attitude and strong communication skills;
- Must be of the age 18 or older, and hold a current bartenders license;
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds;
- Sense of hearing or lip reading required due to the amount of customer interaction;
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
