Our company is looking for a Banquet Server – On Call to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc;
  • Set banquet tables to meet function specifications;
  • Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments;
  • Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships;
  • Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner;
  • Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area;
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws;
  • Must be able to set tables to specifications, carry trays, and have excellent customer service experience;
  • Must attend all designated pre-meal meetings;
  • Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members;
  • Attend to all needs of the guests during functions and function related duties;
  • Assist in the upkeep and organization of all liquor liability laws;
  • Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs;
  • Perform all Banquet side work as designated by the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Managers;
  • Guide guests through all phases of their experience at the venue while commanding full menu knowledge and preparation methods at all times.

Requirements:

  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping;
  • Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis;
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours;
  • Energetic approach to his/her craft;
  • Strong food & beverage knowledge is required;
  • Food Handler Card is required at time of hire;
  • Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel;
  • Strong work ethic which includes a drive to grow, improve and learn everyday;
  • Associate must be able to sit in the same position for up to 8 hours a day consecutively;
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision;
  • Flexible scheduling requiring availability of morning, afternoon, evening, weekends and holidays;
  • Banquet experience preferred;
  • Calm composure under pressure;
  • Associate may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
  • Know and adhereto your schedule at all times.
