Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Our company is looking for a Banquet Server to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • After the banquet, reset banquet room in accordance with the supervisor’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions;
  • Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc;
  • Set banquet tables to meet function specifications for the event;
  • Responsible for personal hygiene, grooming, clean uniform, and professional appearance;
  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including chafing dishes, plate warmers, coffee urns and hot boxes;
  • Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service;
  • Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette;
  • Experience carrying large trays with up to ten covered dishes;
  • Work as a team with all other servers and staff;
  • Interacting with guest and greet customers as they arrive;
  • Ensure tables are served and beverages are filled;
  • Maintain clean work areas and customer tables;
  • Set up of private events based upon the instructions of the Banquet Manager/Captain;
  • Sets up banquet tables and break tables with required items according to property standards;
  • Clears, resets tables and properly stores banquet items at the conclusion of each course/banquet.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills;
  • Solid Black slacks;
  • Solid Black necktie or black bow tie. (Depending on client requirements);
  • Must have Server experience, high end catering facility or hotel Banquet Server experience preferred;
  • Must be reliable, responsible, polite, groomed, and articulate;
  • Punctual and reliable;
  • Must have reliable transportation;
  • At least 1 year banquet server experience;
  • Versed in banquet table service;
  • Report to work on time;
  • Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment;
  • Knowledge of table service standards;
  • Prior experience as a banquet server and/or bartender;
  • Alcohol Certificate and Food Handlers Certificate required;
  • Reliable.
