Our company is looking for a Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Cook dishes to business standards;
  • Cook dishes to our standards;
  • Packaging all menu items and checking for product quality and consistency;
  • Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident;
  • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Food Service Manager;
  • Stock/restock items on line according to specifications;
  • Cooks fresh or frozen vegetables using techniques such as boiling, steaming, baking, mashing and whipping;
  • Set up the expeditor station with the necessary plates, utensils, food items, etc;
  • The grill, the fryer, and the meat fridge. Use them properly and keep them clean;
  • Prepare and cook all menu items to business standards;
  • Cooking order according to food health and safety standards;
  • Therapeutic food items are prepared when needed and are attractive and palatable;
  • Cleans up after business hours;
  • Preparing customer orders;
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work station.

Requirements:

  • Six months experience in kitchen operations and execution;
  • 1+ year(s) of restaurant experience;
  • Must be able to work as a team member;
  • Motivated individuals who are team players and committed to keeping our drive-in clean and safe;
  • The ability to communicate in an efficient and friendly manner;
  • A commitment to further education and training;
  • Drug and Alcohol testing;
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to report to work regularly and promptly;
  • Communication SkillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively;
  • Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation;
  • Own your own knifes;
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and do the occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds);
  • Strong attention to detail – we are known for consistency.
