Dietary Aide – Full Time Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Dietary Aide – Full Time to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Sets and cleans tables in dining areas;
- Assists cooks with cleaning, cutting, dicing of foods and other food preparations as required;
- Operates steam table, slicer and other kitchen equipment as required;
- Serves food and beverages from food carts in dining room or nursing units;
- Follows recipes and instructions, including any special diet menus and proper amounts;
- Perform other related duties as required;
- Prepares food trays and delivers to nursing units according to daily instructions;
- Washes and cleans utensils, pots, pans, kitchen equipment and floors and assists in maintaining orderly and productive kitchen;
- Maintains required safety standards and proper sanitation;
- Keeps condiment containers filled and assures that necessary dining room supplies are available as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance;
- Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the workday;
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position;
- Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance;
- Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday;
- Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day;
- Experience preferred but not required.
