Our company is looking for a Dietary Aide to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Washes dishes, etc. according to established procedures for manual and /or automatic dishwashing;
  • Deliver prepared trays to tables or rooms;
  • Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning;
  • Discard leftovers and take out garbage;
  • Pouring and covering beverages;
  • Serving food in the dining room;
  • Maintenance of dish machine room or area;
  • Willingness to work for the best interest of the facility;
  • Clean up work area;
  • Prepares bags for the Green St. lunches;
  • Ensures all trays are accurate and meet nutritional needs of residents;
  • Assists with room service delivery;
  • Preparing nourishment’s and positioning them in front of the nourishing station;
  • Responsible for assigned station, and respective duties, on the resident tray line;
  • Delivers snacks to each of the nursing units on each floor.

Requirements:

  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly;
  • Must meet all health requirements;
  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients;
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred;
  • Must be at least 18 yrs old;
  • Must be adaptable, cooperative and courteous;
  • Must pass background check;
  • Physical Demand: Able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in hot or cold environments. Able to stand for lengthy periods of time;
  • Illinois Food Handler Certification;
  • Possess High School Diploma, G.E.D;
  • Highly effective listening skills;
  • Must be a detail oriented person and be able to perform duties with great accuracy each day;
  • Must be willing to perform repetitive tasks daily;
  • Must have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, correct sanitation procedures and use these on a daily basis;
  • Must be in good mental and physical condition.
