Dishwasher/Busser Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Dishwasher/Busser to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handles trash cans;
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant;
- Busses and cleans tables and chairs;
- Provides clean dishes and glasses throughout the restaurant;
- Sets and resets dining room tables;
- Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or acting supervisor;
- Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations;
- Perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts;
- Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc;
- Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures;
- Properly dispose of trash;
- Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines;
- Unload, un-box, rotate, and store food, equipment, and supplies as necessary;
- Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans;
- Comply with all local and SOP health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Ability to carry / lift 20 lbs;
- Must be reliable and punctual;
- Multi-tasking;
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Have Organizational Skills;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Passion to Serve Others;
- Food experience preferred, but not required;
- Have a positive attitude;
- Current Food Handler certificate;
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds;
- Minimal work experience;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Exceptional time management skills;
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
