Fry Cook Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Fry Cook to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with other team members to complete orders timely and accurately;
- Ensure prompt and accurate processing of food in your station;
- Maintain health and safety standards to regulations;
- Regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and utensils used;
- Following proper safety, sanitation, and teamwork procedures;
- Cooking all fried foods as ordered and according to standards;
- Using correct portion sizes, cooking times, and holding times;
- Keeping the fryer area clean and organized;
- Stock inventory;
- Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation;
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food;
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively;
- Food handling certifications that apply;
- Some knowledge of equipment used;
- Previous experience in a cook position a plus;
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs;
- Previous experience in a cook position a plus but not required;
- Previous experience in a cook position a must;
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments;
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred;
- Strong attention to detail.
