Our company is looking for a Grill Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain health and safety standards to regulations;
  • Regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and utensils used;
  • Ability to learn, understand, and to execute daily recipes and menus;
  • Work with the Chef Manager to design and execute the weekly menus and features at your corporate dining account;
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours;
  • And most importantly, be a TEAM PLAYER with a positive, friendly attitude;
  • Preparing and cooking products according to recipe specifications and food safety/sanitation guidelines;
  • Coordinate with other team members to provide our guests with a consistent experience;
  • Informing the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement;
  • Cleaning, prepping and caring for our guests;
  • Ensure that the food cooked is to the Donut Crazy standards;
  • Coordinating with other employees to complete orders timely and accurately;
  • Prepare ingredients for use during shift;
  • Preventing cross-contamination;
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required;
  • Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, ovens, broiler and pizza oven desired;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Stands during entire shift;
  • Frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold;
  • Must be able to hear, see and speak;
  • Must be able to stand or walk up to eight hours at a time;
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and multi-task;
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils;
  • General knowledge of kitchen functions and menu preparation;
  • Ability to communicate and listen effectively is extremely important;
  • Comfortable operating ovens, stoves and general kitchen equipment;
  • Appearance should be well kept as you are in view of public in a State of Michigan Building;
  • Prepares a limited menu consisting of grilled sandwiches, baked foods and fresh baked cookies for customers.
