Our company is looking for a Head Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed budgeted labor and cost of goods targets to ensure profitability;
  • Oversee all staff in ensuring highest food quality standards;
  • Own all aspects of design, development, execution and documentation of recipes;
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation;
  • Wear a cut glove;
  • Model and provide exceptional Guest Service;
  • Effectively resolve guest issues;
  • Ensure Team Member compliance of all relevant Plum Market policies and standards;
  • Write an effective weekly labor schedule and adhere to the labor budget;
  • Assign Prep lists;
  • Will train, mentor and coach Team Members to succeed;
  • Must oversee any catering;
  • Must achieve maintain budgeted comps and margins;
  • Maintain all compliance logs;
  • Must meet all deadlines in terms of invoices, purchase journals, scheduling etc.

Requirements:

  • Able to oversee and train in all areas of kitchen management including proper rotation and labeling, and food safety and sanitation;
  • Must have a love of natural, organic and specialty food;
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Ability to model and provide exceptional Guest Service;
  • Stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break;
  • Must be a passionate Chef, with creative ideas;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills;
  • Must have a minimum two years in a leadership position capacity or equivalent.
