Our company is looking for a Kitchen Help to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food;
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;
- Weigh and measure ingredients;
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients;
- Prepare ingredients for use during shift;
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables;
- Chop vegetables, cut meat, prepare sauces and other food preparation;
- Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes;
- Set up workstations;
- Basic cooking functions;
- Cook dishes to business standards;
- Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking;
- Follow health and safety guidelines;
- Prepare sauces and other food preparation.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication;
- Monitoring;
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent;
- Active listening;
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments;
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred;
- Food handlers card;
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal;
- Hard working and reliable;
- Ability to communicate and listen to team members;
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils;
- Team player and takes Initiative;
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
