Our company is looking for a Kitchen Prep to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reach with hands;
  • Stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down;
  • Have ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area;
  • Have the ability to taste and smell;
  • Portion and wrap food;
  • Properly store food items in designated containers;
  • Follow the chef’s prep list to plan daily work;
  • Food Quality;
  • Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized;
  • Ensuring that the kitchen itself and all employees meet the necessary guidelines to ensure there are no injuries or accidents;
  • Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible;
  • Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures;
  • Prepping produce for FOH juice display;
  • Basic cooking (salad dressings, baked bread, soups, etc.);
  • Keeping the kitchen clean.

Requirements:

  • Adept at performing tasks well in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Manual dexterity to ensure proper operation of kitchen utensils and cutting tools;
  • Able to stand through the duration of shift;
  • Availability for early morning shifts;
  • Background as a prep cook or related experience;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Have knowledge of Food Safety and health department matters;
  • Have a high school diploma;
  • Have restaurant experience;
  • Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work;
  • Have the ability to understand and articulate Sus Hi Eatstation core values: Fun, Passion, Creativity and Integrity;
  • Have kitchen experience. Advanced knife skills are A MUST;
