Responsibilities:
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;
- Prepare product/Menu items to recipe;
- Accurately execute all orders put in from the wait staff, memorization of food items and recipes;
- Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes;
- Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner;
- Prepares menu items according to Applebee’s Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications;
- Knowledge on how to prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items using standard recipes;
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications;
- Help Delivery Drivers with loading/unloading;
- Assist Catering Team with prepping items needed for their events;
- Follow checklists and standard operating procedures;
- Prepare all food orders in a timely and accurate fashion;
- Respond to verbal requests from other kitchen staff members in a timely and professional manner;
- Able to read and understand tickets, including menu items and modifications;

Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, ovens, broiler and pizza oven desired;
- Previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required;
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks;
- Proficiency in various software and equipment necessary to perform job functions;
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions;
- Willingness to work in a team based environment;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
