Our company is looking for a Line Cook Prep Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;
  • Prepare product/Menu items to recipe;
  • Accurately execute all orders put in from the wait staff, memorization of food items and recipes;
  • Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes;
  • Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner;
  • Prepares menu items according to Applebee’s Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications;
  • Knowledge on how to prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items using standard recipes;
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications;
  • Help Delivery Drivers with loading/unloading;
  • Assist Catering Team with prepping items needed for their events;
  • Follow checklists and standard operating procedures;
  • Prepare all food orders in a timely and accurate fashion;
  • Respond to verbal requests from other kitchen staff members in a timely and professional manner;
  • Able to read and understand tickets, including menu items and modifications;
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, ovens, broiler and pizza oven desired;
  • Previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required;
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks;
  • Proficiency in various software and equipment necessary to perform job functions;
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions;
  • Willingness to work in a team based environment;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
