Our company is looking for a Line- Prep to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage stock of accessible ingredients;
  • Help with overall food preparation;
  • Participates in establishing and maintaining a positive atmosphere in the kitchen;
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food;
  • Cook dishes to business standards;
  • Use meat slicer, fryers and Robo Coupe;
  • Understanding FOH operations experience a plus;
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, and solid knife skills;
  • Ability to self manage station;
  • Manage stock of accessible ingredients in a fast pace environment;
  • Balance line and prep work;
  • Must be able to work in high volume scratch kitchen;
  • Follow procedures and recipes.

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to multitask effectively;
  • Experience working as prep or similar role;
  • Great attention to detail;
  • Have reliable transportation;
  • Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs;
  • Able to meet all scheduling commitments;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Cooking experience or Back of the House experience not necessary;
  • Positive and professional attitude;
  • Experience in commercial kitchen a must;
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils;
  • Ability to remain organized, clean and focused;
  • Experience working as cook or similar role;
  • This is a part-time position. Must be able to work weekends and holidays through November.
