Our company is looking for a Line- Prep to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage stock of accessible ingredients;
- Help with overall food preparation;
- Participates in establishing and maintaining a positive atmosphere in the kitchen;
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food;
- Cook dishes to business standards;
- Use meat slicer, fryers and Robo Coupe;
- Understanding FOH operations experience a plus;
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, and solid knife skills;
- Ability to self manage station;
- Manage stock of accessible ingredients in a fast pace environment;
- Balance line and prep work;
- Must be able to work in high volume scratch kitchen;
- Follow procedures and recipes.
Requirements:
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- Ability to multitask effectively;
- Experience working as prep or similar role;
- Great attention to detail;
- Have reliable transportation;
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs;
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience not necessary;
- Positive and professional attitude;
- Experience in commercial kitchen a must;
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils;
- Ability to remain organized, clean and focused;
- Experience working as cook or similar role;
- This is a part-time position. Must be able to work weekends and holidays through November.
