Our company is looking for a Prep Cook – Part Time to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly;
  • Carry pans and trays of food to and from work station, steam table and coolers;
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude;
  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, food processors, etc;
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen area;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Prepare a variety of foods with different methods of preparation;
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of shift;
  • Must be able to work in a face paced environment;
  • Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes;
  • Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables;
  • Weigh and measure ingredients;
  • Label stock and inventory all ingredients;
  • Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces;
  • Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking.

Requirements:

  • Neat, responsible person with strong desire to serve people;
  • Ability to obtain a food service sanitation certificate;
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population;
  • Ability to read, write and speak English;
  • Knowledge of basic restaurant service and pleasant attitude;
  • Must be able to pass a drug and criminal background check;
  • Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal;
  • Ability to communicate and listen to team members;
  • Experience as a Prep Cook a plus.
