Our company is looking for a Prep Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces;
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned;
  • Prepare product/Menu items to recipe;
  • Being a great team player;
  • Rotate stock, maintain proper food and cooler/freezer temp logs, assist with monthly inventory;
  • Cleaning; including dishwashing and basic maintenance of the commissary kitchen;
  • Assists in receiving ingredients and items and accepts or rejects based on quality and quantity;
  • Communicates with management throughout the shift regarding inventory and availability of product;
  • Assists in all aspects of food production and preparation, as needed and as assigned;
  • Maintain clean, food-safe dish and prep stations throughout shift;
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications;
  • Help Delivery Drivers with loading/unloading;
  • Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items;
  • Basic cooking functions such as cutting produce and preparing sauces;
  • Respond to verbal requests from other kitchen staff members in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Maintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”);
  • Stands during entire shift;
  • Frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold;
  • Must possess solid knife skills;
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure;
  • Assist in storage and rotation of food items according to hotel procedures;
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required, according to hotel standards;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Must Pass Background Check (Absolutely No Felonies or Misdemeanors) and Pass Drug Test (Including marijuana);
  • Able to work nights and weekends as we are a brewery/bar business and our hours reflect that;
  • 1+ year of kitchen experience;
  • Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly;
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Dependable;
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
