Our company is looking for a Public Area Attendant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example: mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed;
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner;
  • Lobby areas;
  • Offices;
  • Restrooms;
  • Additionally, you will be expected to communicate any safety issues and to tend to special cleaning projects as assigned;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the guest corridors;
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair;
  • Delivering miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and delivering linen and supplies to guest floors;
  • Removing trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and removing trash and linen from cleaning carts;
  • Making up and delivering roll-a-way beds and baby cribs;
  • Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
  • Sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming carpet, washing walls, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning ashtrays, elevators and tracks;
  • Reporting any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor;
  • Maintaining each storage and distribution area in a clean and organized condition.

Requirements:

  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility;
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays;
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility;
  • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling;
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees;
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds;
  • Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are utilized often when reading assignments, completing checklists, replacing linens and amenities.
