Restaurant Executive Chef Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Restaurant Executive Chef to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the brand with honesty and integrity;
- Manage schedule to ensure the proper back-of-the-house coverage;
- Participate in all hiring of new team members as well as training/coaching, performance evaluations, and terminations as required;
- Develop the back of the house team and hold them accountable to promote internal growth;
- Understand and adhere to all food preparation standards, plating techniques, and recipes;
- Proactively address issues that impact food quality and guest service;
- Effectively manage financials;
- Actively participate in food reviews with leadership and provide feedback to the back-of-the-house team;
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs;
- Supervise and coordinate all activities;
- Train and manage all personnel;
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations;
- Oversee culinary operations and resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Professional in appearance and conduct;
- Minimum of 3 years in an Executive Chef role;
- Highly motivated to succeed with strong attention to detail;
- Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment;
- High Volume Experience REQUIRED;
- Scratch kitchen experience;
- Culinary school background preferred;
- Able to speak/understand Spanish preferred;
- Able to communicate in English mandatory;
- High energy, positive, can do person;
- Hands-on previous experience in foodservice;
- Independent, creative thinker;
- Minimum of 2 years of salaried Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager experience;
- Detail oriented;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
