Our company is looking for a Restaurant Server (PM) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Answers all questions regarding the menus accurately;
  • Clean and polish silverware, glass ware, sugar receptacle, trays, coffee pots, tea pots;
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area;
  • Enters food and beverage order in the POS system;
  • Delivers food and beverage orders in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with hotel standards;
  • Acknowledge guest need, anticipate guest needs and always respond promptly to maintain positive guest relations at all times;
  • Follows all safety and sanitation procedures that pertain to the job;
  • Utilizes selling techniques to up sell;
  • Is knowledgeable of all menu items (food and beverage), including how they are prepared, and their status for the day;
  • Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management;
  • Assists with room service, bartender and lounge duties as necessary;
  • Ensures alcohol awareness procedures are in place (TIPS) and notifies manager of any guest incidents;
  • Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and life safety procedures, and follows all key control procedures;
  • Reports all tips received on a daily basis and records them on a tip declaration sheet;
  • Able to carry trays and move items weighing up to 30 pounds and able to stand for 8 consecutive hours.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a background check;
  • Must have the ability to input data in the POS system;
  • Must be energetic and outgoing;
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language;
  • Must be able to communicate effectively;
  • Previous hotel experience a plus, but not required;
  • A friendly disposition and the ability to work as a team with others;
  • Must be able to work well under time constraints and remain calm;
  • Must have knowledge of wines, cocktails;
  • Must be able to set up tables, buffet and food stations;
  • Must be able to sustain composure, remain calm, and possess a positive attitude;
  • Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion;
  • Must have previous experience with POS system;
  • Must be able to follow directions with focus to detail;
  • Must have basic knowledge of arithmetic.
