Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing opening and/or closing checklists;
- Have the ability to read and write clearly;
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment;
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise;
- Be ready and willing to assist busperson with clearing and resetting tables;
- Maintaining a personal bank;
- Thorough understanding of The Godfrey Hotel and Brunch Room including its culture, history, rules and policies;
- Reconciling daily cash transactions;
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement;
- Responsible to “up sell” on any given opportunity;
- Comply with all health and safety regulations;
- Verifies meal ticket;
- Serve food or beverages to customers, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required;
- Communicating effectively with guests and handling questions and concerns in a professional manner;
- Attend and participate in training, in services, and staff meetings.
Requirements:
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs;
- Collaboration Skills;
- Ability to report to work regularly and promptly;
- Has a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions;
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment;
- Must maintain excellent attendance;
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed;
- Strong organizational skills;
- You must have open availability to work both night and day shifts;
- Inform guests of daily specials;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning;
- Take orders from guests for food or beverages;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
