Our company is looking for a Server to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing opening and/or closing checklists;
  • Have the ability to read and write clearly;
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment;
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise;
  • Be ready and willing to assist busperson with clearing and resetting tables;
  • Maintaining a personal bank;
  • Thorough understanding of The Godfrey Hotel and Brunch Room including its culture, history, rules and policies;
  • Reconciling daily cash transactions;
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement;
  • Responsible to “up sell” on any given opportunity;
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations;
  • Verifies meal ticket;
  • Serve food or beverages to customers, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required;
  • Communicating effectively with guests and handling questions and concerns in a professional manner;
  • Attend and participate in training, in services, and staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs;
  • Collaboration Skills;
  • Ability to report to work regularly and promptly;
  • Has a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions;
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must maintain excellent attendance;
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • You must have open availability to work both night and day shifts;
  • Inform guests of daily specials;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning;
  • Take orders from guests for food or beverages;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
