Wait Staff Server Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Wait Staff Server to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Carefully monitors the operation of the stores and assists the manager in identifying and solving present and potential guest problems;
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance;
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example;
- Maintains a clean and organized work-space;
- Make decisions and solve problems in the interest of 100% guest satisfaction;
- Uses the POS (point of sale) system effectively and correctly;
- Handle all cash, credit, and gift cards received during the shift and properly account for all monies at the end of the each shift;
- Ensure that each guest receives excellent service during their dining experience;
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by a manager;
- Maintain proper etiquette with all staff members and guests.
Requirements:
- Must live in service area. No relocation costs;
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 10 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 30 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time;
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products;
- Server experience in a fine dining setting is a plus;
- Fast paced, high energy;
- Be available for at least 2 lunch shifts and 2 dinner shifts a week;
- Attention to detail – Clean and organized;
- Outgoing and personable, team player;
- Multitasking is a MUST.
