Associate Dentist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Associate Dentist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create treatment plans to maintain or restore the patient’s oral health;
- Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options;
- Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity;
- Diagnose oral diseases;
- Review treatment plan options with patients;
- Promote oral health and disease prevention;
- Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism within the dental office;
- Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care;
- Monitor the growth and development of the teeth and jaws;
- Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests;
- Review, maintain and update patients’ medical and dental records;
- Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients;
- Ensuring the safe administration of dental services;
- Effective communication skills with both staff and patients;
- Willing to learn, and improve upon, the skills required to treat dental needs.
Requirements:
- Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination;
- Current state license to practice dentistry;
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate;
- Authorization to work in the United States;
- Active Texas Dental License;
- Passion for the art of dentistry;
- Friendly and professional demeanor;
- Modern office with paperless charting;
- Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience at a dental practice;
- Dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of care to patients;
- Great location not far from Christopher Newport University;
- Percent of collections with initial per diem;
- DDS, DMD or DD;
- Valid malpractice liability insurance;
- M-TH Schedule with every other Friday morning. No Nights or Weekends.
