Caregiver/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Caregiver/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Answers telephones using Anthem telephone techniques and assists visitors in an assertively friendly manner;
- Monitors the emergency call system for emergency calls and responds appropriately;
- Promotes and protects the rights of all residents;
- Provide assistance in keeping activities areas orderly and decorated appropriately;
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the community safety program;
- Assists with emergencies and with safety instruction for residents such as fire drills, etc.;
- Maintains daily records;
- Grooming;
- Transfers /use of mechanical lifting devices;
- Light housekeeping;
- Activities of daily living;
- Dressing;
- Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration;
- Medication assistance;
- Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.
Requirements:
- May require experience with caring for residents with memory impairment if assigned to memory care areas of the community;
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis and physically able to help residents who require physical assistance;
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language;
- Must have health screening and T.B. / CXR clearance;
- CNA Required;
- May require a CNA or CHHA licensure;
- Must receive criminal records clearance from the Department of Justice and FBI ;
- Requires First Aid and CPR certification through the American Red Cross;
- Certificate of at least 75 hours of Certified Nursing Assistant – CNA training;
- Minimum one year work experience;
- Current CNA license listed in good standing with the board.
