Our company is looking for a CAREGiver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Alzheimer’s Care;
  • Check for safety measures to be taken on an on-going basis for client and attendant protection;
  • Dementia Care, Hospice care support;
  • Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation;
  • Personal Care;
  • Respond and attend to client’s requests promptly;
  • Understand that regular, consistent attendance is necessary to serve clients;
  • Prepare appropriate documentations of the client care or service(s) furnished;
  • Activities of Daily Living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, incontinence care, and transferring;
  • Transportation and/or running errands;
  • Straightening and maintaining orderliness of client’s immediate environment;
  • Help remind clients to take prescribed medication;
  • Light housekeeping tasks, laundry and meal preparation;
  • Changing and laundering bed linens;
  • Keeping the patient’s living area clean and orderly as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass fingerprinting as conducted by the DE State Bureau of Investigation;
  • Supportive and compassionate High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program;
  • Able to work a consistant schedule;
  • Two (2) professional references;
  • Current TB Test (within 90 days of hire);
  • Promote teamwork and is able to redirect “we” vs. “they” attitude/statements;
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule – for full-time schedules and part-time schedules, weekend availability is strongly preferred;
  • Must have reliable transportation;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a caregiver (agency, facility, private clients, CNA/HHA, clinicals);
  • Check for safety measures to be taken on an on-going basis for client and attendant protection;
  • Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within Arcadia and the surrounding areas;
  • One year elderly experience is preferred but not required;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions.
