Our company is looking for a Certified Home Health Aide to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary;
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation;
- Follow the assignment sheet/service plan;
- Attend in-services and office meetings as requested;
- Utilize basic infection control measures;
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy client environment;
- Complete other assignments as requested and assigned.�
- Assist as assigned with ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises;
- Organize self to carry out visits/shifts and tasks;
- Read and record client temperature, pulse, and respiration when assigned;
- Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence;
- Back rubs;
- Keeping the patient’s living area clean and orderly as appropriate;
- Assisting patients with dressing and undressing;
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Home Health Aide.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties;
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards;
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills;
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 6 months, preferred);
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
- Take pride in providing high quality care;
- Hoyer Lift Experience is a plus;
- Must have a valid HHA certification and CNA license in the state of California;
- Must have a valid HHA certification in the state of California;
- Demonstrated competency in performance of Home Health Aide functions;
- One year experience as a CNA, hospice aide or home health aide. (Home Health preferred);
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing;
- Must have completed a minimum of 120 hours of training which includes an introduction to personal care services;
- Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order;
