Our company is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation;
- Remind clients to take medication at the appropriate time;
- Examine patient for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds;
- Skin care;
- Personal care functions including: Bathing (bed, tub, shower, or sponge bath);
- Collects urine or fecal specimens;
- Accurately obtain vitals and weights;
- Alzheimer’s Care;
- Demonstrates patience, honesty, good health, and the willingness and ability to follow directions;
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment;
- Assist residents in achieving highest practicable level of well-being;
- Reports faulty equipment and safety hazards to the Nurse in charge immediately;
- Helps residents to and from social and dining activities and encourages their participation;
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent people supported care information to assure people supported rights are protected;
- Responsible for maintaining records for their own continuing education units.
Requirements:
- Highly organized with attention to detail;
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States;
- Capable of organizing tasks and managing multiple priorities;
- Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients;
- Must have current and active BLS from American Heart Association;
- Clean background check;
- Physical Examination within past year;
- Must maintain regular attendance;
- Must have ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the Certified Nurse Assistant CNA) job;
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language;
- No Unexcused Call Outs;
- Supportive and compassionate Take pride in providing high quality care;
- Must have a criminal background check & other checks as required;
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferred;
- Demonstrates caring and compassionate nature.
