Our company is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant PRN to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine care rounds on each assigned resident, at minimum, every two hours (or more frequently as indicated);
  • Participating in hourly rounds;
  • Answering patient lights and performing services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient;
  • Operates medical equipment such as Hoyer lift, feeding tubes, etc. as assigned;
  • Assists in separating and putting away clothing of residents;
  • Follows individualized plan of care for each assigned resident (Care Cards and ADL Flowsheets);
  • Participates in the set up/clean up of dining room;
  • Assists other staff with heavy lifting, transferring, and use of proper equipment according to policy and physicians orders;
  • Helps admit and discharge residents according to facility procedure;
  • Empties trash in resident rooms and other resident areas as needed;
  • Measures and records intake and output for residents on I & O;
  • Assists in post-mortem care as instructed by the nurse;
  • Turns and positions high risk, immobile residents in accordance with positioning schedules and provides preventive skin care as per facility policy;
  • Assists in providing reality orientation, redirection, and validation techniques to residents in need;
  • Keeps resident rooms, dining area, utility room, and other areas of the facility clean and orderly.

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions;
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia;
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public;
  • Must be at least 18 years old;
  • Desire to work in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC);
  • At least one year of relevant experience;
  • Genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled;
  • High school diploma/GED at a minimum;
  • Must be able to exert 50-100 lbs of force to assist elderly in and out of wheelchairs.
