Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct care with empathy; Empathy is a core PPOA value and at the heart of everything we do;
- Work in compliance with all of PPOA’s policies and procedures;
- Develop and implement anesthesia plans;
- Accurately document anesthetic assessments;
- Responding to emergency situations using airway management and other techniques;
- Performing point-of-care testing;
- Overseeing the development of a patient plan of care;
- Providing acute, chronic, and interventional pain management services;
- Performing discharge services;
- Providing post-anesthesia care, including medication management;
- Providing critical care and resuscitation services;
- Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia;
- Quality assessment and quality assurance activities;
- This position will work with the men and women and the dependents of our U. S. military;
- This position is located at the Operating Room facilities at the Elmendorf Joint Base (JBER).
Requirements:
- Insurable by a medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state;
- BLC and ACLS certification;
- Clear and active state registered nurselicense;
- Certification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists; recertification every two years;
- BLS with the American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS certification at time of hire;
- Effective leadership and customer relationship skills;
- Advance Practice;
- Experience in EMAR (Point click care, Epic, Matrix, Meditech, Rehab Optima, Cassamba, etc,.);
- Graduate of accredited Program for Nurse Anesthesia;
- NBCRNA;
- Willing to work Days/Nights/Evenings;
- At least 3-5 years experience as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA);
- Must have a valid and current RN license from any state, territory, or protectorate of the United States;
- Candidates must be U. S. Citizens;
- Must have a valid BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association approved courses.
