Our company is looking for a CNA/HHA to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment;
  • Meal preparation;
  • Provide companionship and social interaction;
  • Monitor and report changes in healthcare status to family and/or other health care professionals;
  • Records and reports changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance;
  • Provides companionship for the client, such as talking and listening, reading aloud, and providing social and emotional support;
  • Assist with the non-skilled treatments as ordered by the physician and approved and supervised by the RN;
  • Documents timely and accurately the patient’s daily activities in the Home Health Aide progress note;
  • After instruction, assist paramedical personnel in those treatments classified as non-skilled but still essential to the patient’s rehabilitation;
  • Measure, record fluid intake and output as directed. Takes and records blood pressure, pulse and respiration;
  • Report/record changes in the patient’s mental status, physical status or appearance to the RN immediately;
  • Gives emotional support to the patient as outlined in the Patient Care Plan;
  • Encourages independence in the patient as outlined in the Patient Care Plan;
  • Assist in the maintenance and education regarding the patient’s safe environment;
  • Maintains notebook or folder with patient individual aide assignment forms for each patient seen by the HHA.

Requirements:

  • Valid/current CNA License OR Home Health Aide Certificate (approved by the Florida Department of Education);
  • Driver’s License or Government issued photo ID;
  • HIV/AIDS Certificate;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Level 2 background results;
  • TB Test results or Chest X-Ray within the last 6 months;
  • Physical within the last 6 months( Stated free from Communicable Diseases);
  • HHA Certificate (minimum 40 hours);
  • 1+ years of experience;
  • Two (2) favorable work references;
  • Negative TB within previous 12 months of hire;
  • 2-3 references;
  • 1+ year of Home Health or Private Duty Experience Required;
  • Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within The Villages, Ocala, Summerfield, Lessburg and more;
  • Health Statement/Physical exam within 6 months of hire.
