CNA – Long Term Care Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a CNA – Long Term Care to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collect routine specimens;
- Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises;
- Assist with clients personal care activities;
- Maintain patients care records and document provided services;
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support;
- Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition;
- Obtaining a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers and nurses about patient condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities;
- Turning and repositioning bedridden patients;
- Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
Requirements:
- One year of Long Term Care experience;
- One year of Point Click Care experience;
- Friendly and professional;
- Current BLS (American Heart Association);
- Adaptable, flexible and a hard worker;
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment;
- State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Current Nurse Aide Certification from the State of Louisiana;
- Multi-tasking skills;
- High school diploma or GED preferred;
- Comfortable using a computer;
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant;
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
