Our company is looking for a Construction Safety Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence others, through consistent model management: “walks the talk” philosophies, solid business fundamentals and sound ethics;
  • Acts as a resource on all project task activities providing coaching / mentoring;
  • Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace;
  • Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures;
  • Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases that could be found in the work area;
  • Provides coaching/mentoring to supervisory and labor staff and champions the incident investigation process and issue resolution follow up;
  • Exhibits knowledge and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of their environmental specialty.

Requirements:

  • Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace;
  • Acts as a resource on all project task activities providing coaching / mentoring;
  • Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance;
  • Influence others, through consistent model management: “walks the talk” philosophies, solid business fundamentals and sound ethics;
  • Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Inspect power tools and heavy equipment;
  • Oversee all subcontractors and contractors;
  • Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP);
  • Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures;
  • Daily safety audits and inspections;
  • Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations;
  • Exhibits knowledge and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of their environmental specialty;
  • Conduct daily safety meetings;
  • Provides coaching/mentoring to supervisory and labor staff and champions the incident investigation process and issue resolution follow up;
  • Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases that could be found in the work area.
