Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility’s pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor’s degree of Pharmacy. Typically reports to top management. Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Current Texas Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) license;
  • Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner;
  • Pharmacy license in the state of Ohio or the ability to reciprocate;
  • 5 to 7 years experience in pharmacy operations management;
  • Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Program, Pharm. D. preferred.
