Our company is looking for a Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs;
- Carries out physician orders;
- Assists physician during examination, treatment and procedures;
- Provides age and culturally appropriate care;
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required;
- Instructs and educates patients and families;
- Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team;
- Monitors, records and communicatespatient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentationsystems;
- Prioritizes patient care based onacuity level and available resources;
- Serves as the primary coordinator ofall disciplines for well coordinated patient care;
- Provides age and culturallyappropriate care;
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients;
- Maintain accurate patient medical records;
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care;
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a BLSHealthcare Provider;
- Graduate of an accreditedschool of professional nursing;
- Critical thinking skills,decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in afast paced environment;
- Customer service abilitiesincluding effective listening skills;
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills;
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification;
- ACLS Certification Preferred;
- Current licensure as an RN;
- CurrentFL RN License required or appropriate compact licensure. If compactlicense held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire;
- BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required- CPI preferred;
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureatedegree nursing program;
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program;
- Ability to build rapport with patients;
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields;
- Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
