Full Time Psychiatry Job Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Full Time Psychiatry Job to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides in-service training to professional and paraprofessional staff;
- Oversees treatment by all mental health clinical;
- Participates as a team member in conferences concerned with diagnosis and treatment planning;
- Interviews, diagnoses and evaluates patients referred for psychiatric assessment;
- Prescribes psychotropic medication as needed and monitors its effectiveness;
- Consults with other mental health and medical provider staff regarding treatment of patients;
- Writes reports and documentation as required;
- Reviews case records to monitor quality of care;
- Complete monthly program reports.
Requirements:
- Bicultural/Bilingual (Spanish) preferred;
- Prior experience working with adults or children in an outpatient/inpatient setting preferred;
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Colorado. ABPN board certification is desirable but not required (must be board-eligible);
- DEA Certification required;
- Current APN or PA license to practice in Colorado;
- ANCC certified required (APN);
- Current CPR card preferred;
- Full Prescriptive Authority in the State of Colorado, plus DEA;
- MSN, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA degree required.
