Our company is looking for a In Home Caregiver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own;
  • Provide companionship and engagement in and/or out of the client’s home;
  • End of Life Support;
  • Ensure client safety;
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, and toileting);
  • Light housekeeping;
  • Check for safety measures to be taken on an on-going basis for client and attendant protection;
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner;
  • Reminds client to take self-administered medications;
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication and a professional relationship with client’s, family members, and co-workers;
  • Performing duties as assigned on personal care service plan;
  • Hoyer lift and gait belt transfers;
  • Alzheimer’s Care;
  • Personal care and hygiene assistance; including bathing, dressing, and grooming;
  • Promoting client independence and wellness.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid Driver’s License;
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties;
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Highly preferred, however not required;
  • CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar training or experience such as a student nursing clinical or family caregiving experience;
  • Valid Drivers License/Clean driving record/Proof of Automobile Insurance;
  • Personal/ Reliable Transportation;
  • Check for safety measures to be taken on an on-going basis for client and attendant protection;
  • 1 Year of experience as a caregiver (agency, facility, private clients, CNA/HHA, clinicals);
  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant program;
  • personal hygiene;
  • Promoting client independence and wellness;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within the Shawnee Mission area;
  • Dependable;
  • Be willing and able to provide compassionate care to people in vulnerable situations; and.
