Our company is looking for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation and data entry of physicians’ prescriptions, verify reimbursement eligibility, create orders and help patients manage their shipments;
  • Work with procurement team to establish optimal inventory levels and ensure successful, timely shipments of oncology orders;
  • Processes prior authorization, medical necessity, and financial assistance to help patients start therapy as soon as possible;
  • Process prescriptions using computer software;
  • Receiving and verifying prescriptions;
  • Establish and develop rapport with patients and prescribers to cultivate an effective working relationship;
  • Organizing medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels and calculating quantities;
  • Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients;
  • Correspond with patients and providers through both inbound and outbound calls;
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
  • Maintaining records by recording and filing physicians’ orders and prescriptions.

  • MUST hold an Alaska State Pharmacy Technician license;
  • Minimum 2 years working as a Pharmacy Technician;
  • Precision and attention to detail are important elements of the job as are the ability to follow directions;
  • Unrestricted CA Pharmacy Technician License OR National Pharmacy Technician Certification;
  • 1+ years of experience as a Lead Technician;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience speaking with doctor’s offices and insurance companies;
  • The ability to document information in the computer system. Must be computer literate;
  • High School Diploma or GED.
