Our company is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Advocate and assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and cheerful environment where our patients feel comfortable;
  • Observes and monitors residents’ behavior and intervenes based on the schedule;
  • Ensure proper documentation of TB test and results and H&Ps within the required time frame;
  • Oversees all medical appointments with outside providers;
  • Maintain proper documentation of visual contact with each and every resident on a 30-minute walkthrough and resident welfare checks;
  • Maintains an open line of communication between the facility and medical professionals;
  • Initiates preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate;
  • Cleaning and spore testing of autoclave, adhering to scheduled maintenance and maintains records of the same;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Confers with Physicians and Nurses regarding patient procedure and treatment plans;
  • Assists Physicians in preparing the patient and facilities for surgeries;
  • Teaches and counsels the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home;
  • Delivers patient care in compassionate and non-discriminatory manner;
  • Conducts follow-ups with patients via phone calls, encampment visits, and visits to other settings where patients can be found.Ă‚;

Requirements:

  • Valid ACLS certificate (American Heart Association);
  • Current American Heart Association BLS card;
  • 1 year of experience as an LVN (must be within the last 3 years);
  • Current AHA CPR;
  • Preferred Experience: at least (3) years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse;
  • At least 18 months LPN experience;
  • Current BLS certification required;
  • Operate pill call, dispense medication and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Familiarity with EMR;
  • Assist supervisor with evaluating the provision of all medical services to prevent the inappropriate use of duplication of those services;
  • Walk, sit, lift no more than 50 pounds;
  • Must be bilingual/biliterate in Spanish/English;
  • Basic PC skills;
  • Good observation and documentation skills.
