LPN Full Time Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a LPN Full Time to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Orders supplies as requested;
- Collaborates with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care;
- Adhere to Infection control practices, including Standard Precautions, to prevent the spread of diseases;
- Supervise and evaluate direct resident care provided by assigned CNAs and initiate action as necessary;
- Assists in training, supervision and evaluation of nurses’ aides, Resident Aides, and CNAs;
- Administer patient medications as prescribed by physician;
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations and provide instruction to nursing assistants;
- Transcription of medication orders in a timely, error free manner;
- Performs other job related duties as required;
- Participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement activities of the facility;
- Interact with Team Members, Residents, and Guests in a courteous and professional manner;
- Complete documentation per facility protocol and standards of practice;
- Attends meetings, training and in-services as required;
- Monitors for and reports change in patient physical or mental status;
- Perform the responsibilities of the CNAs, as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in behavioral health preferred;
- Current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania LPN License;
- Highly effective listening skills;
- Strong communication skills;
- Current CPR/AED certification;
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing Program;
- Current LPN license or RN license. (Graduate from approved school of practical nursing. );
- Work Experience-None required; however, previous nursing home experience and/or working with elderly population preferred;
- Excellent customer service and organization skills.
