LPN – Part Time Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a LPN – Part Time to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reports any problems or emergencies to proper department;
- Monitors for and reports change in patient physical or mental status;
- Assists with food trays, linens, feedings, and other patient care needs as necessary;
- Responsible for safeguarding medication inventory;
- Observe / monitor patient demeanor;
- Acts as team leader when requested;
- Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed;
- Assists in transporting patients to/from bathroom, in/out of wheelchairs, or to other required areas of facility;
- Transcription of medication orders in a timely, error free manner;
- Actively participate in CAFR preparation and start audit process;
- Administer patient medications as prescribed by physician;
- Makes regular nursing rounds to an assigned group of patients, performing basic patient care functions;
- Maintains and supervises the maintenance of nursing and patient care records and related services as completed;
- Assists in training and supervision of nurses’ aides and CNA’s;
- Record dosages in medical records.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Minimum 1 year of direct patient contact;
- Understanding of opiate addition and medical terminology;
- Work Experience-None required; however, previous nursing home experience and/or working with elderly population preferred;
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft products;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent customer service and organization skills;
- Current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania LPN License;
- Previous experience in behavioral health preferred;
- Licensed Practical Nurse;
- Strong communication skills;
- Highly effective listening skills;
- The following shifts are currently available- 7am-7pm and 3pm-11pm. Please note shift preference in application;
- Current CPR/AED certification;
- Current LPN license or RN license. (Graduate from approved school of practical nursing. ).
