Our company is looking for a Medical Intake Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing authorizations/notifications and other service requests received via incoming high volume phone calls, faxes and portal submission;
- Determining authorization or notification requirements;
- Complete a pending delivery confirmation and demo graphic list (HHC/DME);
- Prep services for billing;
- Telephonic Interpretation and recorded Statement to apply for operations;
- Requesting authorization from customers to provide services;
- Providing excellent customer service, including the ability to handle escalated callers;
- Preparing authorization cases for Medical Directors, UM Nurses and Case Managers;
- The Candidate is expected to receives referrals by phone and email;
- Handling expedited authorizations, authorization updates and status checks.
Requirements:
- Customer service skills;
- Use software such as Excel and Outlook;
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Phone etiquette.
