Our company is looking for a Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology Opportunity to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Counseling and educating patients and families;
- Maintaining accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record;
- Working with Mercy Home Health on patient care;
- Participating in daily rounding and collaborating with attending or consulting team in order to adjust plans of care;
- Consulting and conducting comprehensive health history and physical assessment of patients with acute health problems;
- Utilizing critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data;
- Working with pharmaceutical / insurance companies on positive outcome for patient medication prior authorizations;
- Acting as a resource to other staff members and implement educational programs as needed;
- Facilitating referrals to appropriate community health facilities, agencies and resources;
- Managing pacemaker/ICD remote monitoring of patients and collaborating with physicians on care;
- Performing admission history and physical, develops, manages and modifies treatment plans;
- Assisting with intraoperative processes and procedures, when needed, and as granted through privileging processes;
- Demonstrating proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area;
- Ordering appropriate diagnostic studies and correctly interprets the results;
- Demonstrating knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation and epidemiology of medical conditions.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a NP/PA program;
- State of Michigan License;
- BLS & ACLS Certifications;
- NP/PA Certification;
- Active and Current DEA;
- Master’s Degree.
