Our company is looking for a Nutritionist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Complies with Motor Voter Act per state policies;
- Reviews immunization records and enters data into MIS system;
- Any other related duties as assigned;
- Coordinate patient visits and respond to phone calls;
- Be committed to the vision and mission of Community Progress Council;
- Set clear objectives and provide support to patient and family members to help them in their progress;
- Prescribe food packages for participants;
- Guide members of the pediatric Genetic division and other members of the Department of Pediatrics in matters of nutritional care;
- Evaluating the dietary needs of a patient by assessing their health and exercise levels, sleep and food habits;
- Schedules participant appointments;
- Prepare nutrition care plans for high-risk participants and document high-risk contacts;
- Write and publish articles to educate the public;
- Carry out critical administrative duties for the pediatric program, including;
- Travels to satellite clinics and performs nutritionist responsibilities;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of research methods and data analysis;
- Knowledge of anthropometric measurement and techniques and the use and interpretation of growth charts and gain in weight grids;
- Knowledge of correct procedures for determining medical/nutritional risk and ability to analyze nutritional problems of individuals;
- Ability to interpret public health nutrition policies, procedures, and techniques to individuals and community groups;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Certified Nutritionist or Registered dietitian;
- Proven experience as nutritionist;
- Ability to present ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing, using language appropriate to the intended audience;
- Bachelor’s Degree in nutritional science, dietetics or relevant field;
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of nutrition and dietetics, both normal and clinical;
- Knowledge of correct hematological testing procedures;
- Thorough understanding of biochemistry and human physiology;
- Creativity and critical thinking;
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience.
