Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Description

The Occupational Therapist -OT teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities. Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Being an Occupational Therapist -OT may require a master’s degree. Studies, evaluates, and records patients’ activities and progress. In addition, Occupational Therapist -OT typically reports to a manager. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. Occupational Therapist -OT’s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position’s specialty is the main requirement.

Our company is looking for a Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Amendments & IEP’s, OT must be comfortable handling to aspect of assignment;
  • Actual caseload will be based on experience/needs;
  • Assessments needed, need to update progress goals;
  • Participate in the IEP process;
  • Assessments/evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Must have North Carolina state license and AOTA;
  • Must have New Hampshire state license and AOTA;
  • Previous school-based experience (preferably in CA);
  • Must have California state license and AOTA;
  • One-year work experience;
  • Active license;
  • Supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising OT and COTA students;
  • Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services;
  • Instilling confidence in team members, patients and families;
  • Be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapists;
  • Hold a valid or pending (for newer graduates) state license;
  • Part Time; 20 – 25 hours/week;
  • SC OT License;
  • Full Time; FMLA Coverage, March 20 through June 1 2020;
  • Full Time for Remainder of SY.
