Our company is looking for a Occupational Therapist PRN to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains documentation of services in the medical record;
  • Review medical chart and screen prior to completing evaluation to determine patients need for services and ability to benefit from skilled services;
  • Maintain professional growth and development by participating in continuing education programs and other approved learning experiences;
  • Conduct staff/family training and education when appropriate by formal and informal in-services, as well as consultations;
  • Attend/Lead interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of rehab team;
  • Comply with documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility;
  • Evaluates, records and reports on patient’s response to treatment and progress toward identified goals;
  • Provides age and culturally appropriate care;
  • Integrates occupational therapy treatments with other aspects of patient care;
  • Supervises students, provides clinical direction for assistants, technicians and volunteers;
  • Complies with professional, ethical and legal standards;
  • Instructs and educates patients and families;
  • Responsible for own professional growth and development;
  • Adheres to all Standards of Behavior;
  • Provides therapy according to treatment plan.

Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: Two years (preferred) of clinical experience in the field of physical disabilities working as a Therapist;
  • Interest in sub-acute, geriatric rehabilitation and general rehabilitation;
  • We are looking for an OT with at least a year of experience in a similar setting;
  • We need someone who has availability weekdays and during normal daytime clinic hours;
  • This is an outpatient clinic so we need someone available weekdays and during normal daytime clinic hours;
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
  • Ability to utilize electronic medical record and Microsoft Office programs;
  • Current NJ Occupational Therapist state license required;
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Graduate of an accredited therapy program;
  • Knowledge of state, federal, TJC regulations;
  • Licenses & Certifications;
  • 1 year of experience preferred;
  • BLS;
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
