Optician Optical Sales Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Optician Optical Sales to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Merchandising frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories;
- Manage eyewear orders and patient pickup;
- Eyewear adjustment and minor repair;
- Make small adjustments to frames and lenses;
- Coordinate order pickups and deliveries;
- Work with patients to customize their eyewear;
- Cross-trained in other departments such as Front Desk and Optometric Technician;
- Assist patients in making frame selections;
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance;
- Assists the Optometrist with all scheduled appointments;
- File vision care plans;
- Frames and lens selection based on patient needs;
- Process eyeglasses, including pricing, measuring, coding and documenting;
- Final inspection of completed jobs before dispensing to patients;
- Eyewear adjustment and edging lenses.
Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge; Microsoft Office skills helpful;
- Computer literate;
- High level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment;
- Fashion savvy and enjoy helping people make fashion decisions;
- No experience necessary, will train on the job;
- Proven customer service skills;
- Optician license preferred but not required;
- Prior high-end sales experience; an eye for fashion;
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred not required;
- Prior experience as an Optician or in the Optical industry;
- Proven customer service skills and an eye for fashion;

- Works well in a team environment;
- Prior experience in the Optical industry;
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software programs and other clinic-specific software.
