Our company is looking for a Optician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Make small adjustments to frames and lenses;
• Merchandising frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories;
• Work with patients to customize their eye wear;
• Prepare patients to see the doctor in exam rooms;
• Maintain records of customer prescriptions, work orders, and payments;
• Troubleshooting lens adaptation;
• Responsible for managing on site inventory within directed budgets, including frames, miscellaneous supplies and over the counter accessory items;
• Assist the store with being effectively merchandised according to the Planogram and other Company standards;
• Greet incoming and outgoing patients;
• Insurance verification;
• Review patients’ visual needs and recommend appropriate lens and / or frame choices;
• Prepare daily deposits;
• Eyewear adjustment and repair; lens cutting;
• Recommend appropriate frames for style and prescription;
• Collect payments and provide receipts.

Requirements:

• Upbeat, pleasant attitude;
• Ability to sell through use of sales skills and accountability for sales results;
• Hourly wage $15-18 depending on experience;
• High level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment;
• Detail oriented;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required;
• Prior experience in the Optometry field;
• Knowledge of financials and revenue goals;
• Basic optometry training is required (Tech, reception, sales, etc.);
• Must be willing to work Saturdays;
• Assist the store with being effectively merchandised according to the Planogram and other Company standards;
• Experience verifying insurance;
• Proven customer service skills required to create, maintain and enhance patient relationships;
• Fast learner.
