Our company is looking for a Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery;
  • Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterilized;
  • Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice, including the duties and tasks of receptionist as required;
  • Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored;
  • Clean and disinfect all equipment and working surfaces in operatories and setting up for following appointments;
  • Communicate with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records;
  • Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available;
  • Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed;
  • Complete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received and fitted;
  • Able to take x-rays: panorex and CBCT;
  • Always ensure the care and welfare of patients in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner;
  • Setting up and preparing the surgery before the start of each session;
  • Needs to anticipate the Doctor in being one step ahead of him/her knowing what he/she will need so the surgery runs smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred;
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict resolution skills;
  • Professionalism and integrity in all aspects of job, including imagine and both verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills;
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required;
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills.
