Our company is looking for a Orthodontic Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations;
  • Assist in placing/removing orthodontic appliances; take full records including panos, cephs, and 3-D scans;
  • Obtain current dental history and/or records from patient;
  • Prepare tray setups for regular appointments, IB appointments / maintain adequate supply levels;
  • Take impressions for retainer creation;
  • Empower and educate patients on maintaining great orthodontic care;
  • Celebrate the patient’s journey throughout treatment;
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care;
  • Complete accurate notes in patient records as required;
  • Maintains acceptable standards for waste of orthodontic equipment and supplies;
  • Maintain good attendance and arrive on time ready and prepared to perform job functions daily;
  • Prepare and secure orthodontic wires;
  • Be professional and courteous at all times to patients, visitors and/or co-workers, treating them with dignity and respect at all times;
  • Answer patient/parent questions if appropriate or refer them to the Doctor or another staff member who can assist them;
  • Maintain clean, neat work area. Restock supplies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Dental Assistant certificate;
  • No travel required for this position;
  • Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required;
  • Current Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) certificate;
  • This position alternates time between two locations;
  • 1 year as an assistant in the dental field preferred;
  • Strong patient care/customer service orientation with ability to demonstrate care and patience;
  • Positive attitude with ability to work independently and in a team setting;
  • This position alternates time between our Casper locations;
  • This position occasionally alternates time between our South Elgin, Schaumburg, and Hampshire locations;
  • This position alternates time between our Austin and Cedar Park locations;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various clinics within the area each week;
  • Current Registered Dental Assistant certificate with radiology.
